Lead free 'silver solder' has many uses in jewelry
fabrication. When heated to a molten state, it can be stamped with both metal
and rubber stamps leaving behind an intricate design. In this class, students
will learn how to add beautifully stamped texture to copper using silver
bearing solder. Various tips and tricks for achieving a good impression will be
explored and discussed. Stamped creations will then be riveted onto sheet metal
to create a vast collection of elements for use in one of a kind jewelry
designs.
